Hello,
My sleeper heater is not working - the dial wont even turn on at all. I have checked the fuses in the fuse box thats by the passenger side but they are good. Next, I tried to locate the fuse box for the sleeper. After looking online, I read that it can be found under the bed, but I do not have one there. Second place was a wooden panel inside the sleeper but I cannot locate it. Last place it said it could be is by the battery but I also could not locate. Can anyone help ???
ALSO, I noticed sometimes that after I turn on the Fridge switch (near the Webasto dial) the dial will turn on but wont work. Stays on for a bit then will shut off.

Batteries are in the side under driver I think. Do you have a battery disconnect switch under driver seat area? To reset system?
-
Is there a specific location around the batteries? When I followed the harness all I could really see is The battery itself, and the DEF Tank and wiring. And no, this Truck is not equipped with a switch
-
No kill switch in a freightliner product from recent years is weird.
-
I agree - I was killing myself looking for the kill switch when I just bought the truck. I reached out to the guy I bought the truck from (original owner) and asked about it and from what I remember he opted out from getting it or it just did not come with it.

It is a standard fearure to protect batteries when parked for extended periods.

Did you buy from one of those guys with the Singh last name
?
Moth3rTrucker Thanks this. -
LOL - I could not Patel where he was from

But no, he was notLane=addict Thanks this. -
Back then, I believe the manual cutoff switch was an option on the O/OP spec.
I am assuming this is a factory heater install? Did you remove the cover to expose the heater itself?
My 2015 Coronado (factory, not glider) though different cab than your 5700, has the sleeper protection behind the trim plastic at the drivers seat belt pillar. (sorry for lack of better words to describe)
Your refrigerator comment makes it sound like a connector issue behind the panel that has the dial. But also, you should be able to find the heater power supply routing on the heater's site. "IF" I recall correctly, the power goes to the heater first, then to the controller and back to the heater. The controller is just a thermostat with small wires. So I would pull the cover to expose the heater unit and find that connector, then pull the panel that has the control dial.
Since the dial lights up when the frig switch is hit, then power is still active, IMO, but not returning to the heater. In 2017, this heater should still be a non integrated system.....I think anyway. So the heater brand customer service might also be of help. Believe it or not, and I think I have mentioned this on this site in the past, I have had great luck with the component brand customer service on both my PACCAR and Daimler products.Moth3rTrucker Thanks this. -
I don't believe the heater was factory install. I called the Freightliner where the truck was purchased from and after running the VIN, they said nothing was coming up about the heater and that it was most likely installed after at the dealership or the previous owner installed it afterwards.
But thank you for your input - I will take a look at those connectors and see whats going on.
Thanks again.
