They have no APUs now? Only Opti-Idle? That’s a deal breaker for me. Glad I found something else (tentatively anyway).

I just get the feeling the company you work may not like your demands, I'm curious though what is the issue with running east? I sure you'll find someone although freight has to run in all directions sometimes a company may have no other choice but to run freight to a certain point in the country, after all they have to make money too, perhaps that is one of the reasons some companies are doing it tough as they don't want to run certain freight routes and make the extra money. How about Freymiller, Calark, and Swift?

The East Coast is way too overcrowded and there's too many big cities close together. Severe lack of truck parking but even when there is parking it's turnpike plazas that never have showers. I'm not making demands with my company at all. I've been told multiple times that they can send me out west if that's what I want to do, yet I keep getting sent east more often. I don't care if freight needs to go east. Someone else can haul it

You'll just have to make sure you find a company based in one of those western states. Most companies operate a lot heavily in the east because of what you laid out in your post. More people definitely live east of Kansas City. Try Giltner Transportation out of Jerome, ID. I think they go all 48, but I see them more frequently when I'm in Texas, Nebraska, Idaho of course lol.

Yep, it might be difficult, maybe even impossible to get what I want. But it never hurts to try and see if it's out there. So far a couple of these companies catch my attention. I'll have to do some research before I make my decision.

Did you try Holland out of North Dakota? They seem to have a western presence too, looking at one of these threads another member had.

I'm aware of them. They do go east, but their extra long hauls do seem really nice. Maybe it would be worth it

I do hope it works out well for you, and yes if the company has stipulated that they won't send you east they should honor your request, however if may very well be a case that most of the freight they can find that pays well tends to be going east.

Andrus Transportation specializes in 11 western. Don't know about any of the amenities you're looking for.
