Recode the cascadia onebox? (refurbish the onebox?) aftermarket solutions to fix the onebox?

So.. as some of you may know, the cascadia/western star onebox is not serviceable, other than the DPF's; or so i thought. After months of hearing rumours and seeing little snipets here and there on videos i would come across online i stumbled upon these guys. Recorecenters. Apparently they press out the screwed up honeycomb and they put a new one in in your DPF's.

If your DOC/SCR in the onebox is done for, or you want to replace them so you get back to having goog nOX conversion in your onebox they do it too. Gave the main phone number a call today. Looks like they have shops on a franchise basis throughout the country that do this thing?

Have you guys heard about this? Anybody that you know or even you, that did this on their onebox that you want to share more info on? Buddy gave me a ball park of 7/8k$ USD for a complete refurb of the onebox. I was thinking that if you get a used one that is at the end of their life for cheap, or even one's current onebox it may be a viable alternative to Roadwarrior/dinex aftermarket oneboxes, since i keep hearing that their quality came way down for Dinex at least.

This is not an advertisement and i am not affiliated with them. Just looking at starting a discussion on how to refurbish the onebox so we can keep our emission systems as our Freightliners age past 650k miles and beyond!

 

Seems shady for sure, but the guy on the call was legit... I figure there's a miniscule chance I am finding any more info on this. Everybody I talk to just says ''delete''. Fml

 

A little extra? you are looking at another 6-8k for a new one box, complete from the dealer..... this is a way cheaper solution, if it ends up working!

 

Apparently, they cut the DOC/SCR filters and chambers and weld flange/clamps so the onebox now becomes modular. He said they use the same honeycomb as the dealer on their products (i'm skeptical of this). But what turns me off the most is that i can't find no pictures online, or videos. There's apparently a lot of locations affiliated with them, somehow judging by their website so i will be calling a few places to inquire for more info. He also said that their Chicago location is one of the busiest locations for this refurbishement of the onebox.

Again.. nearly impossible to find info. But i'll keep trying. I will also update this thread in the future with whatever i got.

 

And when ago was that? I quote one at the Dealer here in Ontario, Canada and just the onebox alone was going to be 13kUSD /15k CAD. You then add 2 brand new filters and at least 2x NOX sensors plus labour you are looking at 17kUSD /20k CAD (already converted to USD) That's wild
