I idle a few minutes here and there to cool down or air up.
The darn TK apu's costs are Ridiculous.
About the OneBox options, If I replace it. Most likely I will buy from Freightliner.
My plan is to drive until the end of 2030 or when my truck quits with a failure of the Motor or the Onebox. I hope to get at least 3 more years. I bought truck used, I think 420,000 miles on truck, 80,000 miles on 3/4 motor replaced at Freightliner.
I'm big on maintenance. I prefer maintenance at home, then having OTR repairs.KDHCryo and Diesel Dave Thank this. -
That aligns with my goals. Driving about 80,000 miles for the next 4 maybe 5 years.ElmerFudpucker Thanks this.

In these threads we often don't hear from the Volvo D13 guys, maybe Volvo got it right.
I'm chasing my onebox on a dd13 up towards 600k now, have done both nox and a def doser valve.
I expect to replace the whole box for 7K in 2026 at about 700K miles. I'll put my old, new sensors in it.
Corrosion is actually becoming an issue on mine.xsetra and ElmerFudpucker Thank this. -
I think their system is different from ours. Modular if i am not mistaken. The problem with Detroit's onebox is that is not serviceable, other than the DPF's. Like i said in the first post, there now seems to be a solution. Not much info yet. That maintenance you have done is pretty much normal. Who hasn't gone through sensors, dosers, def pumps and possibly wiring harnesses? LOL (i have! haha)
