Hello, ran across this forum while searchin for jobs in the area. Im 22yrs old and started driven trucks the monday after i graduated high school. College just wasnt my thing. Drove steady for bout a year then really messed up and quit and went to work for TxDot a lil bit later. Boy was that a mistake. Every1 told me that that was a great steady job, and great for the future. After bein there for about 6 months, i realized that i had the fever and had to get back on the road. I think the only things from keepin me from pullin my hair out is i do alot of the equipment haulin for the state, and i hotshot cattle and flatbed on the side. Time clock job just isnt for me. After about 2yrs and 6mths, ive had enough. Gotta get back on the road somehow. Been searchin for companies hiren drivers, or owner operators. Would love to buy my own but thats gonna be tough. Would really like to get into haulin cattle, grain or step deck. And perferabley in or around Tx. The thing that hurts me is my age and experience. Dont hardly have alot verifiable experience but ive been around truckin dang near all my life and know how to get the job done. So thought this would be a great place to find some advice. Sorry so long, just a lil bit bout me.
Hey yall, new fella from Tx

My hubby parked his semi about 2 yrs ago and became a company driver. So we have what I refer to as a yard ornament now (he hates when I say that). We have been trying to sell the Pete for the last year but economy isn't the best right now.
