It's time for yet another episode of How Dumb Are You? Straight out of Polk county.

Yes, in early 2023, two burglars in Polk County, Florida, actually called 911 asking deputies for help moving stolen items and for a ride to the airport to go to New York, but instead of assistance, they were arrested and taken to jail, as Sheriff Grady Judd announced.
    Here's what happened:
    • The Call: Martin Gonzalez-Garcia and Ashializ Roldan-Oscasio called 911 from a home they were burglarizing, requesting police help to move their "belongings" and for a ride to Orlando International Airport for a trip to New York.
    • Deputies' Response: Polk County deputies responded, found the pair, and "did help them with their belongings, and did give them a ride," but to the "Polk Pokey" (jail) instead of the airport, according to the sheriff's office Facebook post.
    • Charges: The pair faced burglary and theft charges, with the sheriff's office joking they could enjoy their weekend in jail instead of New York.
