Thanks for that. It is great art. I got nostalgic for a life I didn't even live,
it was so good.
Not wrecks, just the Trucks and Trucking. I feel the music had something to do with it as well.
Excellent short clip.

there were wrecks back in the day, just not the 15 truck pile-ups we have today.
just weren't as many people on the road.OLDSKOOLERnWV, 201, The_vett and 3 others Thank this. -
Trucks dangling from bridges? Nothing new.
At least we know Swift didn't start this awful trend.
Trucker61016, 48Packard, 201 and 5 others Thank this. -
Yes, and too many people is not good. Especially because we seem to want to clump together. So one place is a ghost town, or just land and then there is another where there is not enough parking. Balance is the key , and not like the balancing over the edge of a bridge.Numb, hope not dumb twucker, Flat Earth Trucker and 1 other person Thank this.

I had a friend with a truck exactly like that. The hoses indicate a dump trailer? It was an old Pumpkin truck painted those colors. I don't recall him dangling off a bridge, but who knows what happened to it. Maybe this? No, Swift didn't start the "trend", and I'm sure there were plenty of wrecks, we just didn't have mjd bringing the images to our kitchen tables nightly
. There are like 4 volumes of these remastered clips, and most here, it seems they focused on the drivers that walked away from, but that wasn't always the case. PLenty didn't. We didn't have the "mega pileups" for a multitude of reasons, many not even thought of when these accidents happened. Like Numb sez, we just didn't have the volume of traffic and most of these crashes are either stupidity, or they fell asleep. I guess not much has changed in that regard. I was fascinated by all the defunct trucking companies in the clip. The last one, a White(?) with a Mercury "coffin" sleeper and what was a reefer. Notice the 2 "bunker and blower" motors. You think you guys have it rough,,

Truck wrecks are definitely nothing new. In 1987-88 I was running to Boston, Malden, Tewksbury, East Longmeadow Mass weekly out of Wurtland, KY. One thing for sure, the amount of truck wrecks have increased….

About 13 years ago I seen a Pepsi truck and trailer over the bridge laying in the water of Mobile Bay, first thing I thought of when seeing this picture….
Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this. -
Like to have a pole like that for my sign….
Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this. -
That you know of but I'm sure a lot of accidents went under reported or just not national news.. remember everything that happens is posted instantly as if it's all happening in record numbers. .Flat Earth Trucker and Numb Thank this.
