Yea I mentioned that to them. But seems like they got internal thing going off zip code.
When they first called. They was wondering if I wanted to go back to 2 weeks out at Shaffer. There is a thread that partly tells me to not do that.motocross25 Thanks this. -
Ya that’s right!! Actually I’ve never hauled a coil in my life yet so don’t get my opinion on them.
-
If you referencing SSB thread..disregard what he says because his so called experience isn’t the overall experience experience…I’m on the shaffer side and do very wellBumper Thanks this.

Why do I feel like. Even though dangerous to haul if handled wrong. Coils might be cheapish to haul. Based on how many companies haul themOldeSkool Thanks this.

I honestly don't fully remember my experience with Shaffer. Minus learning about a couple receivers I hate. Like C&S in Westfield Massachusetts. Which I told my dispatcher after awhile I never want to go there again

Anything light and in bags on spring ride equipment is most definitely not fun.

I still remember once I hauled a load in a dry van that should of been in a conestoga. Frames for a AC system because they didn't want them getting wet. Receiver had to use 2 machines to unloaded. One to pull it out enough so the other can grab it.

Common sense?
Good heavens, man, you can't be serious. There was a time when that was true, it took some brains to figure it out. Being the criteria for flatbed, we're in a world of hurt today. Sorry pal, that there is what many called a "shxt" load. You run out of straps! These loads shift like deck of cards, and sometimes tighten straps every 50 miles! I hauled trenchers and machinery, and took some creative applications as the chains , or straps got skimpy. Rough roads complicated matters, and of course the brake check, well, they don't call them "headache racks" for nothing. No sir, I've done it all, and flatbed was the least appealing to me. By the hour on the "cold side" of a warehouse 2 pallets at a time, that was for me.

MACK E-6 Thanks this. -
Just remembered this video Melton sent me. Currently with them waiting on setting up a phone interview. Which can be a pain because of how Barr-Nunn operates....
Chinatown Thanks this.
