Wow. That's too cool. I worked for Dave and Bob back in '75 & '76. They were good to me although Dave and I had a bit of a dust up when I left, which was entirely my fault. I hope you do well with them.
I start over the road with Knight Transportation this coming Monday with a Volvo 670 and Cummins ISX. Life is good. Last time I was in Plover I noticed mostly Volvo's at Moodie's yard.
Who can I work for? Need help! Anybody out there?

Bruno - I may have a job for you. If you can still get on Werner. I'm an o\o there. I just posted an ad. It won't get on the board for a while, because I put my e-mail address in it. Anyway, it's about $700 - $1100 per week after tax. The only "catch" is: Home Time = about 2 days every 8 weeks. But, if you want to put "worked for ABC Carriers for 4 years" on your resume, come spend some time with us. We just don't want flakes or people who can't change a lightbulb. To stay alive in this business, you just can't fork out $152 to someone to change your radio battery. We have a few nice jobs to fill, but we have to kiss a lot of frogs to find a keeper. Are you a frog, or a keeper> Try to send your phone number to me. Part of my name is "zodiemozac at live". If that cryptic version of my address doesn't work for you, just look - later - for my ad in this Jobs Section - the ad about about real decent $$. It is a really long post, but I want the prospect to know what we are looking for. My address is at the end. See - neither you nor I can use the Private Messages, because we are too new here.
Sincerely,
Paula
P.S. Jimbo60, are you looking for a trainee job that will give you some "experience" to put on the resumes of the better companies! (Sorry, my question mark is broken.) I am running another ad for that, because we have 2 other trucks that I need to hire a second seat for. It will have a way to contact me in it. So, it will take some time before it shows up in the list of Posts. -
you have email.

Thanks for the comments guys. Much appreciated. I competed Orientation with Squire Transportation in Ontario, Ca. last week and start over the road training this Monday. Squire is Knight Transportation's training company. I think I've found a home with Knight.

Bruno - Write to me, so I can give you a phone number. We need drivers to have 1 year's experience to put them on our insurance. But, in a year, if you want a change of pace, call us. We are a Mon and Pop Company out of Southern Nevada. We have jobs on both a big carrier, and direct with us ... a more personable experience. zodiemozac@live.com. Congrats on finding a home! Good luck to ya'. Paula
