I missed this thread for a day and missed the drama! I hope the hijacker got to read some of the Werner trainer craps himself thread to learn something about humor.

most small companies u gotta watch out for. 50 or less employees means affordable care act allows them to not pay for medical benefits.

then u likely wont make enough to afford to buy your own healthcare. thanks to affordable care act.

then to make matters worse. alot of big entities outsource jobs to small companies 50 or less employees. so as a result large percent of truckers dont have medical benefits.

Do you mean 1099 contractor truckers? Unless it's in the contract, they won't be provided healthcare benefits.
No employer is required by law to offer healthcare benefits, or any other type of benefits, for that matter.

Don't hire onto any outfit when the recruiter has a commie accent.

california, yes employers must provide workers comp and unemployment, AND give employees info about it upon hire and departure from employment.
also family leave should be offered upon request. and yes this applies to trucking companies also.

and yes, affordable care act sets the threshold. 50 or more employees then employer pays benefits, if below 50 employees then medical benefits can be circumvented(this doesn't apply to workers comp and unemployment).

this is why alot of big entities outsource company driver control on small 3rd party contractor companies(contracting was originally for government, and entities like fedex and amazon isn't government), but regardless workers are circumvented this method to not be offered benefits.

most big employers got good medical coverage, if ur working for them instead of contracting through a small company.

what about a chicago company with european name? they want to hire 1099.

however i am at the end of the line too many employers too short of time and too low of money, this is only place that can get me started right away. yes i even burnt bridges with most of mega carriers.

decent driving record but just job hopped too much.

what kind of things happen in this kind of gig? workers work for the employer and they refuse to pay the worker at all. stuff like that? if so that would harm me since i dont have any money atm. that would cause missed rent payment.
