Saw this on FB. Some of the commenters confirmed it. Haven't seen it anywhere else yet. Looks like 230 drivers out of work and a horrible vehicle OOS rating (42.9%) on safersys.

A friend of mine sent me a text saying that Standard Forwarding was out of business. I did a search and found the same article on facebook that you posted above. Every LTL company out there is struggling right now not surprising that the economy got one of the smaller ones.

Okay, in a revised post, SF is not out of business, they were bought out by Jack Cooper, and holding of the Sakaem Group. Sounds awful Hinduish to me,
panic averted,,,for now. I'd be VERRRY curious to see who signs my check,,

Looks like they are toast: Midwest LTL carrier shutting down after 91 years

Thanks, I seem to lose track of what year it is, I see that now, and further research confirms, have a nice day, folks, the meltdown has begun. My original post pretty much blamed the gubment and the computer, but I don't think there is a smoking gun here. We live in a different time. A culmination of several factors. Used to be, we made our own products, and by golly, needed fleets of trucks to handle it. You know those massive container ships, that hold 10-20,000 containers, that silently slip through the night, you can deny it all you want, but THAT'S where all our freight went. And there are 5400 of those. So, what's the answer, professor? Everybody buy container chassis'? Might come to that, in the meantime, as an older person, I can see what a awful transition our country has gone through, in my wildest dreams, I never thought an outstanding company like SF would ever go under. I suppose 230 drivers, AND THEIR FAMILIES, didn't either. Heck of a way to start a new year, huh? Greed will more than consume truck drivers at Standard Forwarding, and that's all this boils down to,,, greed.Last edited: Dec 30, 2025

Over on Truckingboards, their SF chat room pretty much confirms the shut down. Some posted an 800 number to call and listen to the message, basically stated all pick ups have been suspended.
