I know this isn’t entirely related to the oilfield, but if I’m doing a stint and staying at a man-camp, would any companies be opposed to keeping my personal vehicle there? Barring Alaska, I plan to drive myself to whatever location I get employed at (presumably the Dakotas) and not be bussed or flown in. I saw on a facebook post where people were actually asking if employers would be willing to fly them in. I don’t think I would want to do this.

Any place I’ve been has an employee parking lot but sometimes that can be a ways away and unmanned by security guards or cameras and might not have plug ins to keep it boarder line warm and able to start if it’s crazy cold.

My son worked at Williston years ago, they flew him home to Utah then back to work on rotation.
He bought a pickup truck in Williston so he would have transportation there when working.
I worked in Odessa and stayed at the Iron Horse, almost everyone drove their own vehicles there. We worked 2 weeks on,1 off when I was there a few years ago.

    Zonno Thanks this.
