Valid point. Fake job postings are a prevalent issue on Indeed and other online job boards especially in Trucking. Tons of these foreigner own Trucking companies lowball the cpm rates seeing now the average is $0.55/mile. Back in 2019, when they seemed to be desperate for drivers they were paying up to $0.70 cpm on average $0.65 cpm. How Ironic that things changed yet inflation since 2019 increased by 18.99% (19%). Yet cpm drops more than 15.3% on average? What a joke, showing everyone that they government is saying that a trucker in Canada loses out on a significant amount of purchasing essential goods. Basically losing out on 1/3rd like a hamster running even faster in the wheel.

 

Pard me for asking but don't you get paid by the Kilometer in Canada?

 

Ya but most of us can convert between miles and klics relatively easily. Comes from being so close to the USA.

Yes, as Canadians we simply get paid in miles but covert the 1 Mile = 1.60934 KM

Cross border Carriers follow the U.s. metric system because Canadian Carriers need U.s. Authority in order of operating within the U.s.a. so it only makes sense. I personally never heard of any Carrier in Canada paying an O/o or Driver in Km. Possibly there are some but it doesn't seem prominent.
