Safest large carrier 2 years in a row. we,re ready for csa2010. Per RPM4Truckers mag. an many others . do the homework.
-
I don't see any indications of Roehl going down (his name is Rickroll? Seriously?)
Now CRST is another matter. We just loaded up a lease driver who waited all day into the night because our machine was broken down and he couldn't afford to deadhead 60 miles to grab the next load he had lined up. -
I myself have been accepted to Roehl, I start with them June 1st. Doing orientation out of Ellenwood, GA.
-
CRST going under would be a blessing! Well, atleast the flatbed part of them.

DriverSEA: 20.86 (How do they do that with so many new drivers coming out of RDTC?)
VehicleSEA: 25.82
ISS-D: 24
I think Roehl is the safest of "for hire" carriers. Walmart is pretty impressive on the "private" side! -
In the Marshfield terminal Roehl has about 60 brand new tractors sitting with zero miles on them. In about every Roehl terminal there are what looks like 60 or more used trucks not counting the ones on the road.
Rick's dad was a smart guy and Roehl owns All properties the terminals sit on is what I heard from somebody who was close to the family.
The drop yards I am sure have some kind of deal worked out.
Roehl is very stengy with fuel (more than any trucking company). Roehl has all their trucks governed to save fuel.
Roehl has consistant frieght lanes and when I was there Roehl picked up a few more. Roehl also had just bought a few other trucking companies and was looking to buy 2 more trucking companies when I was there.
I very much doubt Roehl is in danger of going under as Roehl owns their own property and a bunch of new trucks with zero miles.
If anything Roehl has to many office employees.
Roehl is not in any danger of going under.thelastrebel Thanks this. -
Roehl put almost $500,000 into the profit sharing fund for last year , and has purchased many new reefer and van trailers in the past year. It really sounds like they are in trouble.

Now if they can put money into refining Jeff Ebergin's personality.
