It was dyno'd at Finning in Port Kells, BC. The first dyno run was close to yours, they did some tweaking and got my numbers up with fuel #'s and raising fuel pressure.

The pre DPF Acert (MXS/NXS prefix) is pretty much a bolt in for 6NZ. the OEM plug on the ECM has the same pin locations for both 6NZ and NXS. just unplug one motor and plug the new one it. Program the NXS ECM to to suit your truck, fan control, speed sensors, PTO configuration, etc. and its good to go. You need a higher capacity radiator/fan/intercooler maybe from the same truck you get the engine from, it would be easiest to get the engine from another Pete as the engine mounts/exhaust outlet location, etc. should closely match your truck. Cat offer several engine mount pad options for both 6NZ and NXS and the Acert has a couple of different turbo configurations to suit different chassis set ups.

thanks for the info, i just called the california air ppl, and they said that a pre dpf motor is only good till 2012, so its no better then the one i have. i have no idea what im going to do now, boy they are going to shut down alot of small companys like us, i dont know how they got the power to do this to pplCetane+ Thanks this.

You could put a dpf cat in your truck but it would be very complicated.
What is the rule? do you have to have an engine of a certain year and later or is there a specific pollution level they test the truck for?
If you just have to pass a yearly sniff test there is a way around it...kinda. -
in 2012, if your truck does not have a dpf filter , you will not be let into california unless u have less then 3 trucks in your company, then your good till 2014. the ports have a stronger rule, june 1st of this year noting older then a 2004 can go in the port unless u want to pay $2000 a visit , i load out of the port weekly, i guess its time to find somthing else to do. i have not been hearing anything good about the dpf cats, i think a dpf ISX would be the way to go as much as i hate to say it
-
couldnt you put a dummy dpf on by someone who could certifi it. on paper only.
-
im not sure, but i do kn ow they have some pertty crazy fines for stuff like that
-
yea thats why i dont do california anymore. has not hurt my wallet either. good luck.
-
I dont think the DPF cats are too good either, much as I hate to admit it.
Doesnt look like you have many options but to get a DPF truck.
Do you guy have CNG (compressed natural gas) trucks over there? They are supposed to be pretty clean and may get an excemption. I have seen a few C12s running on it, no C15s but it could be done. -
A mate of mine in Tassy is just about to run gas trucks.
He has about 80 or so and has spent 10 of 12 millon with 2 other guys developing the system. All on Cummins though.
Next time i'm down there I will crall al over them and see where all the money went!!
