Now i may know it ,but what goes through your mind when a car drives right up to the redlight.
And you with a 48+trailer needs to turn ,i wonder because i see 4 wheelers do this all the time!!!!
I seen a 18 wheeler about a week ago and i seen him about a block away.
Well i stopped a good block so he could turn on his green light.
Then this idiot was honking his horn and cussing me out and passes me and low and behold he makes it to where the driver couldnt move.
Then a city cop pulls up to find out what was going on,the other 4 wheeler squeals out a bunch of lies and says he was at the green and the truck tried to bully him to back up,even though that was complete crap!!!
Most of the time i dont interfere but i pulled in a parking space and went to the officer and said the trucker had the right away and any idiot should know that something that big cant turn like a kid on a bike.
The driver was calm and said only the truth, matter of fact i was the one cussing (lol)
Well it got fixed and the driver got out of the busy intersection.
Well what is funny was i was getting out of my truck and stopped to get a bite to eat,and i looked up when i went inside and that same driver was eating and hollared across the room and thanked me !
Hell he even bought me lunch!
He told me it happens everyday, and nothing will change it.
I really think people should show some respect to guys or girls driveing through towns and citys, but then again i am sure you guys would like the 4 wheeelers to quit speeding past you ,and slamming on the brakes!
If they would think about it ,it takes around 4 football fields to stop from 55 to a dead stop.
I really think when all gets their drivers license they should take a safty class understanding the bigger trucks![]()
Does driveing in the city pee you all off?

Oh those poor busy, rushed idiots.
I've zero qualms when trapped by a 4wheeler, to pull up as far as I safely can and stop, especially when I'm already in my turn and they decide to run a car or so past the stop bar. I like to see the disgusted look on their face when they finally figure out they screwed up, but still try to make you into the idiot. Doesn't bother me one iota the horns and the number one salute, I actually think a lot of them are humourus. That's just me, but I wouldn't intentionally endanger anyone, maybe just slow 'em a bit
Now some realize what they did, and try to help you out, I make sure they know I saw what they did, and at least mouth thankyou at them and wave if possible.
Sounds like you did the thinking thing, good on ya,

Sure city driving can be stressful. Shoot ALL driving can be stressful if you let it.
A "professional driver" pretty much tries to "go with the flow," and does not react like an amateur when he gets angry or frustrated. That is one of the things that makes him a "professional." It isn't that he doesn't get pissed, he just doesn't let it affect the way he performs his job.JustSonny and otherhalftw Thank this. -
I have driven in lots of cities, but have extensive east coast driving experience, especially New York.No one would say it's fun. Most of the time,it's just the congestion that gets me.The 2-3 hours to cross the George Washington Bridge and the antics on the Cross Bronx Expressway can really wipe you out.If at all possible, come in and out at night or early morning..
It's just best to know there will be traffic and lots of it.Plan your route, get directions from someone who speaks English.Don't totally rely on Qualcom directions.Depending on your company, they are often wrong.Verify them before you head there. You will NEVER get directions anywhere near NYC on the c.b.Know where your going beforehand.Keep an eye out well down the road for low clearances.
Try and stay on your toes without becoming a nervous, pissed off wreck.Just relax, try and watch your following distance(I know, good luck with that.)Always expect someone to do something that makes no sense at all because sooner or later they will.
In the city, watch your corners, plan your turns early and don't hesitate to take as much room as you can get away with.Just don't get in anybodys rush.Watch your mirrors.
Good luck..

Dont be like this guy below and get all deranged..It's just traffic.Don't loose your freaking mind over it..
