Looking for a decent trucking company

hello, my name is victoria ,
I am the wife of a driver although he is the only one that drives I feel that I go through it all with him. currently he is lookng for a decent company to dirve for and has been lied to so many times about trucking indurstries.I found this place and decided to join. he has a bus ticket to go to srt tonight and we are both hesistant seeing all these thngs about them and that they are owned by covenant . a place he does not want to go too for his own reasons. he is a over the road driver and has been for 10 yrs now he is looking for a place to call home like alot of drivers are now. and if you can suggest any i would appreciate it and so would he. and will be willing to help you out also in any way i can if you see this before 7pm tonight please leave your opioion about srt if you dont mind . we are leaning towards not . thank you and look forward to making some friends here too

 

hey thank you for the suggestions I told him about it. his dispatcher where he wroks at lied on him and they took his loads from him and now send some somewhere else. he has driven for over 10 yrs almost 11 now. all of a sudden his dispatcher in this small company where he is now, decided to run his friend on his route made up some things on him saying that his load to california was late. that was back when the snow was really bad in febuary. it really hurt my husband because he does take his jobs to heart scott at transport one sweetwater tn has no right to tell him either that his job is done with them and they are at the end of their rope with him. I told him to call and tell the owner what he said to him they had no idea what was going on .i also told him quit the d** job and move on if they are going to treat a driver like that. plus he has been coming home a week and going out a week , 2 times a month only and he has to split his trips up to get a check. plus has to pay for his trip sheets to be sent in . its a mess and i am disgusted. i am happy i found this site . and thanks for telling me about srt being covenant we live here where covenant is we know how they are.. no good !! thank you

 

thank you again , yes he has thought about local jobs but here they dont pay enough. 8.00 an hr if that. he is an experienced driver over 10 yrs so he will try and find sometihng that pays better i need to post about s& h trucking too. they cheated him out of his paycheck 1,400 and gave him only 150.00 plus put crap on his dac that is not true. do you know how to fight that? it happened a few yrs back. after they hire you and get u out on the road they make you then signa paper saying that if you quit them without notice that they only have to pay you minimum wage then they screw you out of the rest of the 40 hr week pay as well. isnt that just crappy?
