Good luck with that, Gypsy. I have seen how hard it is to find a company you like. With all the positive you have said about Schneider so it would be nice to see you and your husband stay with them.

    Good luck to you goth.

Finally talked to my recruite today. Everything went well. She gave me some good info. I will be checking back with her after I start school. I asked about tuition reimbursement and was told there has been some talk of bringing it back. :biggrin_25525: That would help me a bunch.

That's nice news to hear what they said to your husband. Best of luck you going back as well. Sure is easier than starting all over again.:biggrin_25525:

    Hey BigCove,
If You are not already gone yet, I have to get my Tennessee Class A learners permit before I can go to Millis' School..I know what chapters to study in the hand book (thank you TN Tech lady)..but how long do you recommend I study for ? I'm a relatively smart guy..just wondering how difficult that written test is ?? Study for weeks ? a couple days? a few hours ? any advice appreciated. Thx.

If you study a few hours that should be fine. I got my CDL A permit about 3 yrs ago. I read over the material for a couple of days. Before I went to take the test I went back over everything for a couple of hours. Only missed 2.

    Finally I am back online.

I do not know where to find them, but I have heard there are many different practice tests online. You can try a search through the TDOT website and see if they have any practice tests as well. The test consists of 50 general knowledge, 25 combination vehicle, and 20 air brakes questions, or something like that.

Sorry that I can't be of more help. We just took a lot of practice tests at school to prepare us, so we had already seen about 90% of the questions before we ever took the test.

    Good luck.
