Congrats Man - I am really happy you are finally getting some closure. I think you made a good choice too even though I chose Millis. I have talked to many in the yard and not hearing the same things I read on here but I am also not blind to the fact that each have their issues. Some here do already have e-logs and all trucks are set to have them by 2011. I am getting it from our instructor so I can't say it's true or not - only passing it on.

I am truly hopeful I made the right choice and will stick it out for at least a year no matter what and then will re-evaluate my options of either staying with them or moving on as I am sure everyone on here has done. I am not expecting anything except the worst case - that way I can say I "knew it was going to happen" or I can say "#### - it wasnt so bad"!

Keep posting so I can stay in touch!

once you get out on your own your dsr will get to know you and how you run. I never had any of the problems that supertrucker had. I never turned down a load unless i could not "legaly/safely" do it. I was never late, ran legal , and was running 3000 plus per week. You will have days that suck. Remember , attitude is everything. After a couple of months my dsr would ask me how long i wanted hometime. On the flipside , I was always willing to stay out a couple of extra days to keep the truck moving instead of sitting and waiting to find the perfect load to get home on my 12th day. Its a big rule book and as long as you play within the rules you will be fine.

Gypsy, I havn't worked for them for almost two years. I believe that Jeff was in charge of training when I was there. I know that it has been BAD for the entire industry since then and I have heard there have been big changes since I left. All I can comment on is my experience. I remenber the Quarterly meetings and getting lots of new pages for the drg. It just seemed to me that if I ran as hard as I could and was legal everything was fine. I have heard other drivers calling dispatch in Gary and b*&^%%ng about sitting every 20 min. and I can tell you that if it was me i would let them sit and think about how to talk to people. some of those drivers sounded like 10yr olds.I was always respectful and professional about things and was treated very well. Im sorry that you had a bad experience with Roehl and my opinion might not be as good if I were there through the tough times when you were there but as I say, I had a very positive experience there and would not hesitate to go back if my current job were to end. Stay safe out there
