New Truck, Got Some Questions.

    I recently fell into a 2002 Freightloner Columbia. I have never had a Freightliner before and have some simple operations questions that could easily be answered by someone who has had or currently drives one. It did not come with a owners manual and the questions came up after I drove away from where I got it.

    1) Are there seperate keys for the doors and the ignition?

    2) It has a detroit motor and I have never used the Opti Idle of one before, how do you set it?

    Thanks in advance, I'm sure there will be more as I think of them.

    The same key fits both....do not know about the opti idle...I probably have it, just was never shown how to use it.

    Thank you.

    If it takes the same key, then either the door lock has been replaced or it is broke. Will have to take it in to a dealership and have it fixed I want to be able to lock the truck when im away from it.

    You most likely can take it to a locksmith and get the tumblers in the door lock matched to the ignition, or get a key cut for the door and use two keys for a lot cheaper than what the dealer will charge, and you'll be supporting another O/O at the same time.
