GRC...my goodness man!! You have had a hard time of it this last year! Take care and rest and take good care of yourself! And please keep all of us informed of your progress! I personally have come to look forward to your posts and continually hope for the best for you after your Roehl experiences.

GRC I talk Plavix also. You can go online and download a form from the manufacturer of Plavix. Fill it out and take to your Doctor to fill out his part. Mail it to the manufacturer and if they approve it you can get the Plavix free from the manufacturer.
Do you not have insurance yet at SNI? Also talk to your Doc and see if you can get some free samples from him for the Plavix. You have to take it....it keeps your blood platelets slippery and with the stent you had put in that is very important! -
grc, I wondered where you had been, this IS your thread after all.
Wow, it's a good thing they did what they did, the outcome may not have been as good as it turned out.
Glad to hear the good news about you still being able to come back to work so soon. You must be a tough old bird!!!! And that's a real good thing.
Good luck, and be good to yourself.

GRC, you definitely have my prayers. It is good to here you can get back on the truck so fast. Take care and make sure that doesn't happen again.
-
GRC, sorry to hear what happen, hope you get back to work asap, our prayers or with you.
-
Our prayers are with you. Thank the Lord you are ok. Good thing you were at dispatch when this happened. Take care and let us know how you are progressing.

it seems SNI has to determine if/when I can drive again even tho my doctors have given me clearance ..... I have faxed all my records and they say nit will take them at least a week to decide ..... since SNI does not have short term disability, I am sol on any income until they decide ..... I guess if they decide I can not drive, I'll have to go on SSI disability .... just my luck ....
-
I am pulling for you. I really think you will drive again although I know it doesn't help you now. I would if I were you start the ball rolling for SSI. If you can go back to work great but if for some reason you can't you got the process going. Good luck.

If I recall correctly, my wife did this on line. But be prepared, you'll likely have an uphill battle that could take awhile. It took my wife 2, that's right, 2 years to get what was hers. And that was after a lawyer was hired. She was an RN for close to 40 years, then diagnosed with Alzheimers in 2004. SSI kept wanting to retrain her for another job. Finally did get all her benefits retroactive to when she was diagnosed.
But, it wouldn't hurt, like Gypsy said, to get the ballrolling, just in case it does come to that. I pray that it doesn't, you're to young I think to have that happen to you.
