1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Ok, first things first.Sorry to hear about your trouble. It is not unusual but frustrating. Your major problem is the 2 accidents which even for a seasoned driver is dicey but for someone so new to trucking it can be catastrophic. Another is a ticket. No so good :(

What you probably could do is get in touch with a company like Swift, JB, Schneider or, CFI. They all have training programs for drivers. Try to get hired on with one of these companies, evenf it is for 6 month. You need road time for sure and you coudn't have picked a worse time to get in this bind. For the first time in forever there are more drivers than there are trucks or freight. I would not quit trying but because you were fired from your first and only trucking job you have ever had it is going to be rough going. I wish you well and hope this post might help you !!!
P.S. You might also try to get on a truck running locally ( construction , dump trucks ect). I wish you luck in the future!

    Keep it between the lines

i didnt get ticketed for either accident.

just reported it to the company and i am assuming the insurance handled it all.

this is the part on the DAC USA truck put on there

orginal date received by DAC on 02/06/2009

period of service from 08 2008 to 01/2009
    license number

    reason for leaving : other
    status: company driver
    Drivers experience: over the road
    equipment operated: dry box
    loads hauled: gen. commodity
    work record: unsatisfactory safety record

    accident/incident record
Equipment was involved in an occurence or act that produced unintended injury, death, property damage of any type, or resulted in the equipment requiring a tow(other then mechanical breakdown) while assigned to the driver regardless of fault. adverse information is reported for 7 years.

number of DOT Recordable accidents less then 7 years old: 0
number of Non DOT recordable Accidents/Incidents less then 7 years old: 0

    no additional accident/incident information availble.
    =============================================
    end of report

the first accident was at a shipper. a fence was hit. gaurd came out and got the info. no police were involved. just the company and my company. i got a verbal warning over the phone..a few months later i was backing into a spot for teh nigth and i misjudged adn hit a fender of the truck next to me thus tearing it up. i knocked on the door and put a note up and the driver came over later and exchange info. no police report again since this was the second time, i had to report to a terminal to take a safty class. right after the class was done and i was ready go again. my FM told me he was goign to let me go, thank god the terminal was in the town my apt was at.

since they have a policy of a third accidnet suspension for three days and a forth will result termination, the state of ohio said it was wrongful termination, as they didnt follow the stated policy.. i am sure that dont mean crap.

am i assuming and telling them too much ont he accidents. i assume they are preventable but am i telling the recruiter too much or should i let them pull my dac and determine it on thier own. i think i am releaseing too much info...i am honest that way..but am i shooting myself in the foot..

    i will try the suggestions

while offically i was on unemplyment, i was working on my own business of graphic design. never made any money at that but i could say self employed
