I turn 58 in a few months, and all I can think about is Where did it all go, The whole time was a great time, and I am looking foward to many more great times. Its all been a blast, yes I know there were some hard times, but they seem to just blend in and be forgetable
    Safe miles to you all

My advice is to save all you can. There are no such thing as a secure trucking job there are a lot of corn/flake exdrivers to tell you that.

Just busting some balls but 8-5 is really a choice for me.. It's a P&D schedule I could bid if I wanted but I prefer line-haul.. 8-5 is indeed an option at LTL companies though..

I prefer money but 8-5 really is an option just so ya know..

That's what I do.. I'm 100% debt free and run line-haul here because I cannot justify doing anyrhing else since I understand this gig could end at any time..

No kids and never married here - I wanted to get debt free after 1 year of line-haul and did it in six months.. I run it now because I like to see the massive pay checks and don't have anyone to answer to if I get home a little late.. If I wanna run a Saturday morning via for an extra hundred I can or I can say no and sleep a little longer..

No joke, I'm banking about $500-$600 every week after all expenses..
