I agree. My neighbors and I have common agreements about lawn maintainence (they won't let me pave my lawn and paint it green, the lousy so and so's), and derelict vehicles (we all gotta at least pretend to work on them every now and again). Now if I could get my neighbors' help in getting the lawn dude off his lazy duff (kid from across the road) and mow my darned lawn when I ask him to! As opposed to a month later! And to think I pay for this kind of service.:biggrin_2559:

I think everyone who owns a home in a neighborhood has a responsibility to keep at least two acres between them and their nosy neighbors. :biggrin_25522:

None taken, I wouldn't want to be my neighbor, but my cars are all in mint shape, and aren't as bad as some of the other cars around here, there is not one house in my neighborhood that does not have a non running car. The engines, are rarely at my house for more then a couple days. Right now I have none, I garbage pick things, and its good money. All my personal stuff is put away in shed, and my lawn is always mowed, and when I have things, there tucked away where no one can see them. I have great pride for my house, and never let it look bad.

    Jarhead (2005)

It was about D.S. in 1990
A scene in a "TV" room, everyone gets together to watch a video-tape from one soldier's wife. She starts off saying how much she loves him, and as she backs away from the video camera, you can see that she is nude and there is a nude guy with her. They "start" and the soldier "loses it". (Some of the other soldiers want to keep watching the train-wreck)

Did not see that movie. This was not a marine. Was a weekend warrior on a full time basis. Army reservist. I did not see the video. A chaplain told me about it. There was a tent set up and they played tapes sent from home. Mostly CNN footage of what was going on. Sometimes guys would get tapes of their wife and kids and watch them.
