Sounds like a baby food load, if thats the case its not a free $320, A lot of different items and each has to be down stacked on to its own pallet. These are exactly the loads I would do myself and pocket the 320.00. Even if it took you 10 hours thats still 32.00 per hour. You don't make that driving.

hahahah same EXACT thing happened to me today. Yesterday, Ralph's grocery thought I needed a nap and let me go at 0330 when my appt was at 2000 the night before. At least that's 5.5 hrs detention.

Hey DM, I'm heading that way, but may not get there before your break is up (depending on what I decide to do tonight).

Well well well... my buzard f%#k day continues...
Thanks to my delay at my 01, I fell 45mi short of getting to WVDC. So I stop at this P-lot (1st mistake). I start backing in next to another central driver (2nd mistake). Being overly paranoid about hitting another truck I back in hugging the truck on my left and I hear a horn blow as I'm pulling forward to get my angle back. So I stop and the other central driver comes out saying I hit his trailer. So I go back to look and then he says I hit his tractor. I see scrapes on his sleeper that sort of kinda in a way line up with my trlr door hinges. He says we'll deal with it when I park, so I continue to back in (3rd mistake, should've took a pic there). As we're looking at the damage and he's kinda iffy about doing an accident report, so I go back to my cab to grab a smoke and I have a message from safety saying to call them ASAP. I go back out and ask the driver if he called safety yet? He says no. Hmmmm???

Then he goes on telling me how he's been here for a few days waiting for a 99 to be resked for Walmart. I take a quick look at my hinges and see no paint marks then call safety. Safety tells me someone(?) called it in. Well I searched for a witness afterwards and couldn't locate one. I tell safety what happened, what I knew I did wrong and that I was suspicous because my 2+2=3. We get done and break out my accident kit and I get a message to call someone else in safety. I call and it's an investigator who is extremely interesed in the pictures (hmmm), and tells me this driver had reported the same kind of accident 2 days ago from this same truckstop (double hmmm). Once again I state my suspicions and state I will hand deliver the camera to safety tomorrow.

So it's been a bit and I head into the p-lot to conduct urgent necessary business, and on my way out notice his trailer doesn't have a seal and the reefer is off (hmmm). Ya, I've seen loads without a seal, but those you seal yourself if you're smart. So I open the little access door and peer in... interesting... Just a load of sailboat fuel. We don't deliver sailboat fuel to walmart, they don't even sell sailboat fuel!

I do believe something is afoul. Even the buzzard and armadillo are skeptical.

I am hoping for a better day tomorrow.

Edit: was in sleeper typing this out, finished and stepped up front for a smoke and the other driver is gone (hmmm)

MAYBE he's not really a central Driver. :biggrin_2559: Maybe he is a plant by safety to see if you would report the accident like you are supposed to. Did you ask him if he took his meds this morning? At anyrate, pilots seem to have the smallest lots of all the travel centers... Loves has a smaller lot but the spaces are bigger.. Pilot is just plain small with small spaces. I HATE parking at pilot!

    Hmmmm.
    That is an odd one.
I can see him calling safety on one, then trying to get cash from another driver, if he is really an A hole. Cannot see any reason for him to lie about his load though.
Plus if he was there a few days and empty, that is odd too.
    Get more pictures lol.
I delivered last night in Allentown. I had a 2100 appt and got there at 1700. So I checked in and they had me empty by 2030.
I was giving a load that picked up as soon as I could get it though with 3 stops. Had to get all off by 1400 in VA, near DC.
So I picked it up at 0300 and got to first stop at 0720 or so. Got off the 7 skids there fairly fast. They had a power steer I could use.
Got to second stop. They had a really high dock and we tried several ways to get the skids off, but no way. They were water also, so 2100 lbs or so per skid.
The store manager refused them, since hand unload would have taken some of his staff. ( I would not unload 15,000 lbs of water one case at a time myself)

So now I have to wait 5 hours for customer service to try and get the store's company to tell me what to do with the rest. I had one more stop, but I was not allowed to leave.
Finally they let me go to stop 3, and they let me store the 7 skids from stop 2 there, and have one of there company trucks deliver it tonight.
Drove out the rest of my hours, the few I had and now I am in the scale house rest area in VA, on 95 south. Got a pickup in Richmond whenever I get there to drop just west of Columbus whenever I get there. So a good 600 mile day tomorrow.
Today sucked though. I have not eaten since yesterday morning, and now I just had a vending machine dinner.

Yeah I thought so... all my crap is either heavy or out in BFE. Im just waiting for them to tell me that I over fuel too much! I would litterally respond "I have no choice when you send me to places that there are no fuel stops for 100 miles!"

Qualcomm is pissing me the F off today! When we got the message from SammyE about the q-comm problems i replied with "Can I report the Q-comm to HR for harassment?" I didnt get a reply...:biggrin_2559:

I like the safety plant theory. I'm always good for a good conspiracy story, which may explain the black helicopters and SUV's that follow me around. I have difficulty with the "hang around and wait till another central driver parks next to ya" part.

So far 4 out of 5 people I've talked to agree with chrome's theory. 3 of those are with central.

In a perfect world safety developed the previous photos and told him to report to WVDC immeadiately to compare damage. Of course I don't live in a perfect world.

Either way I'm p/o'd! Either I was setup or I did make a stupid mistake.

BTW that message on the quailcomm was sent while I was on the phone with safety, no more than 30 minutes after it happened. Oh! There's that black helicopter again.
