Looks like I'll be here all day waiting for the lumpers to break down 4000+ cases of notebooks and the like, but that really isn't my complaint. Neither is the fact that the lumpers are not with a formal company, but rather we have to "go back out to the entry gate and bring one of them to this office".
Something like 15 trucks with appts for 0615. Door assignments seem to be at random. Told to back into one door...it's already occupied....etc....
No one issue here is unique to this location, but the total disorganization and "One-hand-doesn't-know-what-the-other-is-doing-itis" is probably as bad here as I have ever seen it anywhere.

I think he is at the AAFES warehouse in Newport News, it is run by a Warehousing company on Contract. But if I have to Have a TWIC card and TSA Card to deliver in ports and haul Hazmat, they should have to have a Lumper service with Credible Backgrounds, I mean this is going on a Military Installation, and We do have many people who this can affect. Seeing that the Warehouse he went to (if he went to NN) services Navy Vessels going on Deployment, Just my Opinion

I am in the military now.....And all I can tell you about AAFES is well..... They got the name right Another Agency ##$%ing Every Solider... I guess in some places they can save you money, but in Alaska and Iraq they will rip you off and have piss poor service
Big Duker Thanks this.
