Excellent question. This guy seems to have info no one else does. In fact, the FBI should get an anonymous tip over this. I would think our friend up there must have been involved to have such information.

I dont know what kind of truck your drivin or what youve done with it, but our "crapcadia" gets on average about 7.5 miles per gallon. That '07 KW-900 we dove could only muster out 5.5 at best. Maybe it was cause of the scatterpiller c-15 in it, but I know that the lack of aerodynamics on it didnt help none; Well, in "increasing" the mileage, anyway.....

You may have the best fuel economic motor on the planet but if your truck cant allow the air to move around it with the least resistance, yer fuel economy is gonna go to the dumps.

    So....I wonder how I'm averaging 6.8+ with a W900L and an ungoverned 525.

    It's a question to ponder isn't it?

Skill at how much throttle to give it when? I get 7 or so out of our work trucks yet everytime I get into a different one and reset the mileage computer, it's at 4.5-5.

I typically got decent mileage despite the type of truck I drove. I think alot of it has to do with how you shift, and how you drive, rather than how aerodynamic the truck is. But hey, what do I know. I also used to get 30+ mpg out of old late 70's - early 80's box chevies, too. On the highway, at least. Those cars sucked fuel like it was going out of style in town.
