got home last tuesday from being out for 2 weeks with the trainers and so 3 weeks total including orientation. not to bad they sent me out of gary straight to new jersey with a load of ceiling tile aand met my next trainer out of iron mountain. both trainers were 7 on 7 off so they launch out with ceiling tile and go east to the big city. we hit long island city and that place sucks and i hope i never have to go there. wasnt to bad good trainers so far waiting to go out again.

Did U go to School in NY?
-
This thread is over a year and a half old, you probably will not get and answer from the op. There are a couple of new posts you could check out with guys from NY state. I do know that Shotsjc went to RDTC, and I think he is from the Albany area. Check around and you will find the answers you are looking for.

Where in NY are you? I lived in the Catskills and went to a Long Island based school called "CDT" (Commercial Driver Training). They had a location in Kingston, NY. I enjoyed the school, and passed my test. This was in 2003 though. I went on a $4000 grant from the county I lived in. Now I hear the school is up to $10,000. WTF?
I'd recommend RDTC if you don't mind spending 3 weeks in Wisconsin, and can afford to do so. The school is priced well, and I found it very intuitive, informative, and the atmosphere was great.
I got my CDL in 2003 but had a big gap in driving experience, so Roehl required me to go through a school.
A bit of advice, unless you really love the bitter cold, do NOT go in February. lol Seeing -15 or colder at 7:00 am is not uncommon. -
I live about an hour from Kingston and went to RDTC, cheaper, faster, and a far better school than most from what I have seen so far. I know I have taught trip planning, map reading etc. to a few guys that went to other schools but went work for Roehl
