Day seven and orientation is completed! I now have a driver number and Comdata Card. I am trying to contact my TE, but no success yet. I am not on my computer, so I will give a more detailed version of this day after I get back home tomorrow night - or maybe Sunday - rememeber, I have not seen my wife for a week.
Everyone take care. Orientation finished as strongly as it started.

LOL
Well, the whole week sometimes is similar. You probably wont be in a truck until Monday. Much of it depends on how well the class does as a whole. If many of the students are struggling, yea, it gets tedious while the instructors are working with them. Kai'yen (I think I spelled his name correctly) tries to do a pretty good job keeping the class lively, but much of it depends on the class dynamics and some of the material is just plain boring, but necessary to learn. We had a pretty lively class that gave him as much grief (in a fun way) as he gave us.
Hondo is okay, too. He has a different style than Kai'yen. They try to play good cop, bad cop against the class, but both of them are easy to get along with.
Tell him Harrison said to quit taking money from his mother. He should know what you mean. -

I will now explain my first red flag. It is small, but there, and I do not relate it to Schneider.
When we were given our trainer's phone numbers, we were told to call and just make initial contact. Most got through to their trainers. When I called, the phone was silenced before it got to any voice mail. I called a second time an hour later and left a message. I tried a third time later in the day and a small child answered. I asked to speak with the name given me. I heard the phone passed to someone and the phone was hung up from their end of the phone. Now it is very possible the trainer was doing his 34 and did not want to talk business at that time. It is possible I was given a bad number. I don't know, but a trainer has not called me back as of this posting. I have not called again yesterday or today in case it is about him spending uninterrupted time with his family. I know tomorrow is a holiday, but I will try tomorrow. If I do not get to talk with him on Monday or Tuesday, I will call, on Tuesday, the number we got on problems with our TE. I just hope if I do end up with this TE, it will not be a pre-cursor to time together on the truck. We shall see. -
I finally heard from my trainer a couple of hours ago. I am supposed to meet him at his house tomorrow morning for my first actual truck driving work. I don't know how long I will be out, so it may be a while before I post. I will not take my laptop. If I have an opportunity on the road to post, I certainly will.
Hopefully, this phase of my training will go well, also.
Everyone take care. -
Glad to see you were able to reach your trainer. Hope things go well for you out there. Thanks for all your posts and look forward to reading again when you're able to post. Take care and have fun.
