I've been reading your posts. I have some problems with the math. I'm not sure what CRE governs their trucks at, however, for agruments sake, let's say 65mph. If you bust your butt and work hard, you can average 60, so long as you don't eat, pee, fuel or stop during your daily 11.
Now 4000 miles divided by that 60 average comes to 67 hours...you're nudging your 70 without dropping, loading, driving thru construction zones, rush hours or anything else. Whoever those 'some drivers' are that are 'breaking 5000 miles' in a week have to average 72mph!
Now I just finished a week of 3482 miles where I busted my butt. I have an ungoverned truck and could do the 75 thru CO,NM and AZ, and had some decent runs. The California miles killed me at the 55 limit there.
So how are you doing those miles without JATO bottles strapped to your cab?
Where do you find all that time to talk with so many people? I get accused of talking too much, but I can't begin to hold a candle to the number of people you're speaking with, yet logging 'monster' weeks like you have.
The more I read your posts, the more you sound like a recruiter.
I thought at first, 'give the guy a break'.
Personally, I don't mind a recruiter posting here, so long as they tell everyone they are one.
Count me as another that doesn't believe your posts. If for no other reason than the numbers just don't work.AfterShock, Kimono_skunk and smallhauls1 Thank this. -
Im a new, but old trucker. I've just started with CRE and there are some things that arent right, and some things are made to get more money than usual out of the lease operators here. But, all in all so good so far. The trucks arent that fast but thats good for gas mileage as we know, they are topped out at 62mph. Here in the lease yard at Salt Lake there is a small selections of rigs to choose from. Some guys have to wait around days, in some cases weeks before they get the rig they want.

I started with cr england several years ago, you need to choose between low pay and no pay as a company driver you get very little pay as a lease you will owe them money in 5 months time, still you have to start somewhere put your time in and move on I did and now I work for a good company and the pay is decent.

Yea, I have trouble with the math too.
Are these numbers for team driving? If so, they work. If you're solo, it just doesn't work.
I keep hearing pep talks in your posts. Something I'd expect from a sales manager or recruiter.
If you're really doing this well, good for you.
I just don't believe it.smallhauls1 Thanks this. -

SWIMMING WITH "SHARKS" IS SO EASY A "NEWBIE" TRUCK DRIVER COULD DO IT!

I haven't been on here in quite a while and I'm by no means an "authority" on many topics discussed on this forum - but this above post is retarded (for lack of better terminology).
By American drivers "not making the grade", that means what? Not wanting to work for modern day sweat shops for wages that won't allow you to live in anything other then poverty? Being away from your family for months and still barely being able to provide the bare necessities? That's an embarassment and a sucky existence. People that work hard and dedicate themselves should be rewarded, not insulted by what the vast majority of companies (not just trucking) offer for pay, benefits and incentives. I know I deserve better than that and 99% of American workers deserve better than that.
Of course the foreigners are willing to do this - the same foreigners whose brakes faded on the Tobin Bridge down ramp coming from Boston to the New England Produce Center in Everett, Massachusetts - side swiping a dozen parked cars and finally crashing into someones house. The driver got out of the cab and ran away - good ol' Juan Valdez of Guadalajara MX and his incredible skill behind the wheel.
Thats the caliber of drivers willing to do what us "lazy Americans" won't.
Your previous posts seemed to portrayed yourself as the antihesis of what you and phase-I trainer agreed upon. I thought you were one of those - fight to the death, impeccable work ethics, could deliver early in hell, all American kind of guy.
Anyway, no need to waste anymore time ranting. I'm sure you've just finished a "monster 2 week" recruiting haul.allycatt2, Linehauler78, smallhauls1 and 1 other person Thank this. -
