I know of multiple walmarts that are not accessible with a truck. too small and the delivery area is too small to park in without blocking it. I remember one, dont know where, that was like that but had a truckstop across the street..lol convenient.

Also, i notice a lot of people buy milk at walmart. IT COSTS TWICE AS MUCH AS EVERYWHERE ELSE in my town, but its flying off the racks. WTF?!

I remember one time i worked there and i overheard someone being sent to go "compshop" milk. i laughed my ### off. Why bother when you're already charging twice as much as everyone else except for the place next door thats charging a penny more than you?

I buy my milk for $2.30 or so a gallon costs $4.50 or so at walmart...

the only place worse on milk price is truckstops, where it costs $4 for a quart...

Did you have a nice journey in "thefreedictionary.com? that is the actual sentence they used with the word.

Now I prefer to think of myself as the antonym of obtuse: quick, bright, sharp, keen, smart, clever, shrewd, astute!

Do you really believe this is a change? Think about it, when you go to (use your example) Montebello for a load of dog food...did you live load that, no you didn't it was preloaded...a three way arrangement between WalMart, Crete, and the supplier...there is a great deal of logistics involved especially with a customer the size of Wally. There are also Werner, Schneider, Swift, JB, and DHE (along with others) there at the supplier in Montebello. Same as with P&G, Morton Salt...how many more you want to name...they all work in trio to get the freight organized and moved. No change to the way it has been being done for many years.

You will believe anything Crete tells you, or what the Wally dispatcher tells you...perhaps you even believed the recruiter when you first hired on.

Swift, Werner, Schneider, JB, and Crete have been using this software for many years...or similar types. Another exciting change for Wally...only took them a few years to catch up...hmmmm.

Same as they do the shipper...enter a two or three year contract at a beginning price, then 2/3rds thru the contract, force a rate reduction on the next contract negotiations or Wally won't buy their product....sounds like the law suit a group of suppliers had with Wally back in 2006...BTW, Wally lost.

Nobody ever told you about "suspicion leads to conviction", oft times in a criminal court! Talk to Wally corporate attorney...don't forget to ask what went wrong with their plan!

The advertising is showing just what they are willing to cut...three items throughout the store...that was for the big Memorial Day Weekend....big whoop!

Exactly what the big carriers are looking for...gullible, easily swayed, yes sir/maam types, to just run the cheap freight and not ask any questions. Keep up the good work, they appreciate it!

Did you look up the Italian also...OH did I piss you off? but this term is for an Italian Gentleman to use. You probably didn't understand the term gentleman in the definition or description...in this case the term "Gentleman" actually denotes nobility...are you now claiming nobility in your heritage? doubtful...since nobility, in most cases aren't that gullible or subservient to their employer...since they don't have an employer!:biggrin_25523:

The "...being deliberately obtuse" quote is from a movie. If you remember, Hendershot (Pat Hingle) turns to Bill Robinson (Emilio Estevez), and asks him if he's normally stupid or being deliberately obtuse. Remember? The Happy Toyz Company? The Dixie Boy Truckstop? Soundtrack by AC/DC? Please tell me that you are somewhat culturally literate, and that I don't have to tell you the name of this Stephen King movie!

I don't need to look up Italian, or French, or Spanish - I'm reasonably conversant in those three languages. Once you learn one of the Romance languages, the other two are considerably easier to learn.

I would carry on this conversation with you and be more than happy to point out the errors of your logic, not to mention the naivete that pervades your thinking, but I couldn't help but notice that you've changed what I've written and attribute it to me as a direct quote.

Anyone who would stoop so low as to resort to an intellectually dishonest, devious, and despicable tactic as that is hardly worth my time or effort to attempt a conversation with. Or, as Little Bill said, "I do not like assassins an' men of low character...". Then again - if you are indeed a former dispatcher as you claimed to be, I understand that dishonesty, deviousness, and despicable tactics are your stock in trade.

So on that happy note, I'll bid you Aloha, haoli!

I'm with you on this one. I wish more people would do the same. Hate Walmart and what they have done.
