Does anyone know where I can find the layout and dimensions/diagrams for each type of test setup used for tractor tailer training. I know someone with access to alot of space and a bunch of cones that wants to setup a practice field.

    Thanks,

    Marty

I would imagine just straight backing and 45's for training but that's just to give you a idea how to back. The real test is out on the road (alone), no two backs are the same. It's easy, just takes time to get used to it. 45's are rare in the real world.

I would think the DMV CDL manual would have some diagrams in it. You can look up DMV CDL manuals online for every state in a .pdf format.

Alaskan is correct. :thumbup:Usually the backing diagrams are located last in the state cdl study manuals. Good luck.

My brother and I were talking about this the other day. He said to pass the test you have something laying on the ground you can see in your mirror and you have to back up next to it. I said there is something standing behind you, you can't see it and you have to back up within 2 feet of it. How is it done on the test in MN, anybody know?
