1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I won tell you all the good stuff first then tell you why at the end I haven a problem finding a job. I had a DUI back in 11-16-04 and I also have a failure to obey a traffic sign back in 8-5-05 besides them two things My record is clean. If you are still with me and possibly interested read on.

I have 5 years Otr experience in those five years I halled dry-van and reefer for a small company called Patriot transport out of Hermon Maine. They had 4 trucks of there own and I was one of the lucky ones to be in there trucks and not leased on to them.
I know how to keep my door shut and tires moving and a am pretty good with the comic strip to.:biggrin_25524:
I keep a clean shiny truck inside and out, I grease my own truck and keep a eye on the fluids. (Preventive maintenance) To keep the truck going. I can do most all bolt on mechanic work. Hoses alternator starter belts. I am a good driver, just had a bad day. I am 36 have no kids and like to stay out since there no reason to come home except to unwind. I will stay out for months at a time as long as I have the loads.
I have worked since my DUI I did regional work in New England haling live floor and dump trailer 100,000 gross but pushed it to 130,000 at times:biggrin_25513:
If you think you can help me out or put me in the right direction i would appreciate it. I am willing to relocate just about anywhere if need be I am currently in FL now. I may be willing to make some sort of arrangement so I pay some of my own insurance since I know it would be high. I plan on getting my own truck later but want to get out there for a couple of years first and see if it is really what I want to do.

Sorry so long If anyone can help thanks alot.

P.S. I know no big companies will hire me because of insurance.

OK I have had some local offers but I really want OTR I am willing to team up and I am willing to relocate. Someone must be looking for a good reliable driver that knows how to keep the door shut? Or know of someone that may be looking.

Willing to relocate for otr? What the hell? There's no otr job in the country worth relocating for. Actually, after i said that I looked and see you live in florida. But still...they all suck these days, and the ones that dont are sooooo picky. I remember once i called conway truckload..and this was 2 years ago mind you, may have changed by now, but it left me a very bad taste in my mouth. They told me they would not hire anyone who is not currently employed! And then...well, you cant have more than one job in the last year. ...

It just bothered me that they only gave jobs to people who didnt need them...

Anyone thats gonna hire you's gonna screw you. Sad to say but its true.

I'd just run local man. OTR is screwed these days unless you can get in with an o/o...and a lot of them are crooks too.. :(

You can come here to werner and have my job. I'm gettin ready to leave for a small business adventure! They dont hire in florida that often though...but they do have a terminal in lakeland...

Hey all the companies screw you it how they are in business. It is a fact.
Yes relocation is no big deal to me I am single and have no kids. I am one of them people who love driven OTR it a life style to me not a job. Just want to get OTR for a while, solo or as a co-driver so I can save up a little cash and get my own truck, I would love to get on with a O/O and most likely thats what it going to be.

Let's give it a try. We are a Mom and Pop outfit. 4 trucks. I need a second-seat OTR driver now. Email me at zodiemozac@live.com We'll exchange phone and fax numbers. How recent is your OTR time> That's kind of a big deal - how recent. Let's do an application and interview. You sound a lot like who I'm looking for. By the way, we are near Las Vegas.
