Thanks Kajidono....what do you think about it??

I think they did a pretty good job fixing the issues that they had time to fix. They're still working on the routing so it's still buggy. It does a lot better with the avoids working now. It seems to run faster so they straightened some code out somewhere.

If you follow the links below my name you would see a support thread.
On the back of your unit is a serial number, can you tell me what that is? Also on preferences/device settings/about - the version and also under GPS data,,,right side what are the used\seen numbers?
Thanks,

It will take a long time to get all roads entered in properly. My 500 routed me under a low bridge the other day and about took my stacks clean off. However, I'm also running a garmin 465t that was routing me the same way, so the error actually came from the company that provides most of these units with the base maps. Navtech. That's the crap company that's responsible for a lot of these annoying errors.

Let me know more details about your routing issues.
I am wondering...if you had a TND 700... then was a TND 500 given back in exchange?
Some of the DC cords go bad at the 90 degree bend...if you find your DC cord is not supplying power, but your AC cord does, then let me know and RM will replace your DC cord.
Thanks,

Speaking of power, I noticed the battery indicator is now gone and the light goes off if it comes unplugged instead. Was that intentional or am I making my unit adapt through shear force of will?
