We are small family owned trucking company that is based in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. We are looking for Drivers that have at least 1 year Flatbed operation. I've got a few years of flat bed experience...oversize, heavy equipment, glass, steel, vehicles, lumber...and just about everything else that can be chained or strapped to a trailer.
I've had a couple minor tickets (speeding and an "improper equipment"...that was originally a left lane violation but it got bumped back to improper equipment...its a long story, but I had no choice but to get in the left lane...the cop didn't see what caused me to get over, he just saw me in the left lane and wrote me a ticket without giving me a chance to explain).
DAC is good...a couple minor things on it, but everybody that I have talked to has been willing to hire me (McElroy was my latest inquiry)
I already stay out 4 weeks at a time...I'm driving for Maverick right now. Its my 2nd time working for Maverick...I started with Schneider Specialized, Maverick bought Schneider Specialized in 2008 (at least I think it was 2008...can't remember for sure) and I stayed for about a year after that then decided to try my hand at pulling vans.
It took me 10 months of that to get too #### lazy to get out and open the trailer doors...got a factory job and quit driving for 6 months ...got laid off when the auto industry went downhill, got another factory job that I hated...then Maverick called me wanting me to come back.
I couldn't wait to get on that Greyhound bus and get back to Little Rock...LOL. (I've been back just over 1 year...May 28, 2009 was my hire date)

I have a good job now...and I'm not saying I'd be willing to leave it, but I would like to hear what you have to offer. I'm not a job hopper...but I'm always looking for something better (better pay, better miles, better equipment...or just a better fit for me)Last edited: Jun 8, 2010

I just got out of school about a week ago (graduated top of Class) I drove back in the 80's & 90's but mainly drove Van with an occasional flat bed. Don't know if you would be interested in a Repeat driver, but here I am Hoping for the best.
