    Good!!!
I dont agree with drinking and driving, but i do agree with someone getting in trouble for it.
If someone passes out in their car, moter off, keys not in ignition, they aint driving.
Being drunk in a car isnt the same as drunk driving.

I have slept off one or two times with the keys in the ignition, turned to accessory so the radio was on. I never got busted for this but I also had no intentions of driving.

Be careful, if you do that in the future, try to make sure your in the back seat.. If the keys are in the ignition, they may consider you getting ready to drive, and use that as a excuse to arrest you..

    Good.

I strongly disapprove of drinking and driving and I think that on occassion the penalty isn't harsh enough.

But I have always disagreed with laws that state being in the vehicle drunk with the keys not in the ignition is the same as DUI or DWI. IMO if the vehicle isn't moving then you ain't driving the #### thing.

So what are you doing when you are stopped at a stop sign or traffic light?

Years ago I heard a story of a driver IN OHIO that got good and drunk, locked his car keys in the trunk of his car and slept in the back seat. The plan was to call his wife in the am to bring out a spare set of keys and drive home sober the next day. As the story goes he was still charged with DUI.
    HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE???
Any LEOs care to comment? Is that a chargeable offense since there was no way the man could have driven the car? What should the man have done instead? (Besides drink at home!) Would you have charged someone the same way?
