1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

    Kevin

What are the residency requirements? Can a driver from the east coast sign on and come get a rig, then remotely report in? I would think with a cell link and a laptop a driver could go anywhere. For the really remote portions of the country use a sat uplink.

Either way, this sounds like a really cool job. Is it permanent or per release of a "new" truck line-up?

Does the "testing" of these new trucks involve hauling dummy loads or live freight? How often do the tractors need to go back to "base"?

I'll send an email along to you aside from the forum.

Like the title says, if you don't care about being treated like a decent human being, then Roush is the place for you! Roush will not pay the drivers overtime, holiday or vacation pay, however if you work in the office then you will get the overtime, holiday, and vacation pay!!!
Yes all you do is haul test loads, there is no deliveries to make and all you do is drive in really big circles. If you do want to work for them just remember this.... you will have to work the graveyard shift from 7:30pm to 7:30am!!!!
Roush treats their drivers like crap or pond scum or whatever you want to call it!
Good Luck with your career decisions!!!
