Central Refrigerated Truck Stop

I used to have a W9... 93888. It's mpg was to good so they made me turn it in so they could detune it to run crappier and use more fuel so a l/o could have it. But that's ok, I got tired of the lot lizards knocking on the door all the time. And of course this prostar has a bar and gunracks which the w9 lacked.

 

Saw yer rig in the shop early yesterday morning. Nice looking, but it was 0100 and only the one mechanic around. Snuck some fuel and snagged a trailer for a spud run to Wally. Headin east hope they fix you fast so you can make that payment

my next load is 175 cases 3k lbs to walmart....I guess they REALLY need this pallet! At least Ill get REALLY good MPGs on this one. Im getting low 7s with a 30k load... 3k i might be getting 9 or 10.

 

Dangit Henderson was cramped with trailers..too many R's, D's and dedicated. Was going to bring damaged one up from MST, but 2 hinges were broke not one. That door will have to be removed or secured to transport. They yard boys must have clobbered it. Nice surprise to just drop and run. Henderson won't miss this trailer.
Try not to blow off the road with that load!

 

Dang it jimbob.. I knew ya come in.. Saw me in the shop and thought to yourself.." Hehe.. Ill go still dms trailer and he'll have to sit in co another day." Lol.. We'll I'm still here.. Gotta live load at 1300 today and then I gotta check 4 trls that some dongs didn't run thru inspection..so now coors won't load em.. But eh, I get 20 bucks a pop to run em up to the gaurd shack and drop em off back at the empty lot.. I can def do 60 bucks... Lol, cause ill keep the nicest one for myself.. Btw.. If yall ever get the chance to eat over at bass pro shops restraunt.. Its amazing .. Me and my lady had crab,lobster and shrimp galore for under 50 bucks.. Good deal and great fun.. Gotta love ya some outdoor world.

 

Isnt it $40 for minimum move? Thats $120.... looks like steak is on DM tonight!

Why do I feel like im doing all the local stuff in Chicago? 200 mile from manteno, il to Windsor WI, then 277 mile from Belvidere IL to Olney, IL

 

Total newbie. Why work for Central when they pay about .10 less than many others? This is not a complaint, but a question.

 

because you get your CDL with them... also those other companies that pay .10 more usually require 2 yrs OTR experience. some local jobs in CA require 3.

 

Sigh... bouncing my 70 over here in the eastern midwest. 99 in St Louis in the AM then shut her down again till midnight. At least I gain more than I can run, so I should have a few more days till I bounce against the wall again.

Got to see a spinner in the median today. Fortunately he stopped before he crossed onto my side, otherwise he was heading right under my trailer.

Well you wouldn't want to steal DM's truck. That thing only gets 5gpm!
