OH/PA I-80 Triple Fatality

My flashers go out when the speed drops below 45.

 

Say what you like, however prison might be the safest place for him. me personally if im on the interstate in my personal vehicle and traffic comes to a halt, i dont want this driver behind me because he was given a second chance! I'm by far not the best driver around however it took me awhile to get prioritys straight. when i'm driving, i'm driving! when i'm texting, i'm texting, when i'm making calls, i'm making calls, wheni'm sleeping, i'm sleeping. i dont do a combination of those at once. didnt see 2 vehicles stopped ahead of him? o.k., not a problem. get a new rig and keep truckin!

 

1 person in the SUV survived I believe but I gotta go, dont have toime to look it up.

 

Very tragic indeed. They just celebrated their 50th wedding aniversary too.

The video shows it was a HTI driver, not KLLM.

For the Fed Ex driver, he could of done more. I always put my 4 ways on and yell on the CB in that situation.
A simple pick up the mic and talk could of avoided this. Something that is getting worse in recent years.
It's sad the 62 year old driver has to end his career this way. But a simple not paying attention in this job can land you in jail. He'll be sued and lose everything too.

 

In many foriegn countries they put on their flashers when traffic stops. I've seen this many times in Europe and also in Korea. 4 wheelers light up the interstate like a disco with their 4ways on! Pretty hard to miss!

I wish we were smart enough to do it here.

 

I have been driving for 19 yrs and my husband for 25 with NO accidents...pay attention, and leave a way out...and take out a wall, tree, etc dont just choose to hit the vehicle in front of you and take a life.. if he was paying proper attention and was truly a professional this wouldnt have happened!!!! yeah traffic stops dead in front of you...if you are far enough back , as the law requires and our profession requires...you can do something other than kill people!!! jail??? that should be the minimum...those poor people and their families...this is so senseless and sad..

 

all I can say is the family of these people are in my thoughts and prayers and if this truck driver is found guilty for a stupid reason may he rot in jail.

Now to get this off my chest..Now dont get me wrong many cars ive seen doing this also but come on drivers,TEXTING.YAPPING ON THE PHONE,PLAYING ON A COMPUTER AND DRIVING DONT GO TOGETHER,I am so tired of seeing this every day...The other day we had a truck swerve over in our lane heading right for my side,well we finally got around him and he was texting on the phone as we passed him,he looked over at me and gave me a look like im not doing nothing wrong thing...Give me a break already...A dam text message is not that important,if it is pull over or better yet find a new profession because truck driving isnt it.
And for the whiny babys on the CB whining about how they get picked on,give me a break...I watched a truck specificly ride in a lane he wasnt suppose to be in for about 10 miles on the highway last night and sorry to say if you cant read that big white sign saying no trucks in left 2 lanes I feel sorry for you,better yet I feel sorry for the drivers on the road who have to put up with your stupidity..And last but not least,the truckers image...If you dont want the reputation of a pig then quit acting like one....Clean off your dam dashboard instead of having 3 weeks worth of food wrappers on it,I saw a driver the other night in the truck stop with wendys,mcdonalds and empty cups all up there,his window was open when i walked by and his truck smelled so bad,I was waiting to see a dang ####roach come out,it was soooo nasty..And for the horn dogs out there who need to be neutered,you make me want to puke...Have some respect on the CB for other drivers who dont want to hear that crap not to mention kids are out of school now and riding in trucks,wives and g/f s are out there and also female drivers,go to a different channel if you have to babble on about some chick going by in a car who chances are really doesnt want you and probably wouldnt go near ya let alone screw ya.

 

Now for the nice guys out there God Bless you,wish there was more like you.
