I've heard a number of complaints recently from members telling me how our forum search tool is truly awful. I couldn't disagree, I just explained to people how to use Google to search the site.
Well, I finally got around to doing something I should have done awhile ago: Google search is now added directly to the tool bar at the top of the forum. Now you can search for such exotic terms as "JB Hunt" "TWIC" or "crst".By default, the search only brings back results from TheTruckersReport.com, but if you don't like the results you receive, the search results page gives you the option to extend your search to the rest of the web.
I'm also leaving the standard forum search option on the toolbar for now, for those users who are gluttons for punishment.
Edit: the google search feature was only added to the default green forum template. If you registered several years ago and are still using the blue/white template, you won't see it.
TheTruckersReport.com search now powered by Google

Good deal! Only if when I went to hit "new posts" and the function brought up more than the last 5 hrs of activity...........
-
I am amazed that you actually stay off TRR for more than 5 hours! If you click on "new posts" every 4 hours, You never miss a thing!
59Panhead Thanks this. -
google is liberal devil-spawn and should be burned at the stake IMO.

Sometimes I have to work and go to the grocery store.. LOL
I thought about getting on of those newfangled iphones where I can check it anywhere I go. "coming to you live from the Denny's at the J"

Why? I mean I understand going to the store, but W O R K? 4 letter word there!
