I got the green light today that I am in the July 6th class from my substitute recruiter Laura. The whole process began by completing the application on-line June 7th. I was able to get my physical and CDL Permit yesterday. Not bad for a week and 1/2 turnaround.
I have to get new glasses so I can see the right hand column of any DMV test, but other than the $350 I will have to spend, everything worked out perfectly.
I am now stepping up my Heart Rate monitoring and practice exercises to make sure I don't come home for something silly.
Good luck to all considering Truck Driving and especially Roehl.

Congrats!! Laura is my recruiter as well, very nice woman and extremely helpful. I'm still waiting on a call from someone letting me know my employment is verified and when to proceed with the next step, which I'm guessing is my physical.

I am thinking of a deal!!! Anyone who will be going to the July 6th class let me know where you are driving from please. I will pay for gas if I can get a ride. I live in middle TN. Just a thought.

Don't think I'll be able to help you out, sorry. I don't even know for sure yet that is the class I will be attending, and I barely trust MY vehicle to make it the short 2 hour drive it is for me!

No worries, it is 753 miles for me. I thought about a rental car, but that's $500+.

i have had rdtc students that got a bus ticket frm roehl and rental cars so tell them your not sure if your car is "safe" to make it and see what she says

I am getting my list together for school. I only have two weeks until I leave. Trying to get things wrapped up at home before being gone for three weeks. I did get that S7 watch at Wally World to monitor my heart rate. So far so good. It seems to be easier without the Steps.
Heart Rate topped out at 138 after repeating some exercises and handling additional weight than required. So, I am feeling good, but will continue practicing until PS-Day.Last edited: Jun 19, 2010

So, when I ask other truck drivers who work for other companies what they think of Roehl, they all say it's a great company. I wouldn't have come this far in the process if I didn't agree, but it is always nice to hear I made a good decision!
Go Roehl!
