What type of runs do they offer? Will I be able to choose between 48 state and regional right away?

As far I as know, regional runs is not an option. They say they are 48 states but have never been to the Dakotas, Wyoming, Washington, Oregon, or I daho.

Yeah I graduated june 1 and went through all the pre hire process and I'm now waiting til Monday. The 21st to go to rockwall for orientation. I'm glad I got to go to rockwall and even after all the bull**it stories I've been reading iim still excited about going with TA. I'm just gonna go in with a humble attitude and just do what I'm told and hope I get the same. I'm. New to this so I don't have very high expectations I'm just happy I have a decent job. However I will say that ill be glad when its all over and I'm taking my truck back home and no, that truck won't be leased either. If you're interested ill. Be keepin you guys posted throughout my experience whenever I get the chance. Goodluck to the rest of you who are going through what I've already been through just trying to get to the point where I'm at now. Nothing seems easy about this whole thing and that's why I like it. God bless.

For those of you that drive for TransAm, have they tried to get you into a lease agreement?

I haven't driven with them of course but what I can tell you is when my recruiter was giving me all the info I needed to go to orientation she was already dropping the lease bomb on me. She was saying I could be a company driver or an independant contractor and "I much recommend you consider the lease because its a good opportunity whether or not you're experienced or not." So the games are beginning before I even get in their door. Everybody will tell you they're gonna try to push you into it and they're not making it up so just expect it and be strong in saying NO. I'm gonna do the same.

Oh heck yes. If you stick to your guns and go company, they'll call you up every 1 to 2 months to see if your willing to lease yet. Haven't had them call me in over a year now tho. Probably has something to do with the last time they called me and my response.

Day of , I say again, the day of my dad's funeral and my DM calls me up. Say's I know this is a bad time but I'm required to do this. Are you interested in leasing. My response was something along the lines of "I know this isn't your fault, but you can tell whomever told you to call me and the lease department, to take those papers and shove them where the sun just doesn't shine!!!!". Heard nothing since.

That's pretty good thinking of you. I'm gonna have to remember to keep strong and just forget about them when they ask me. I'm ready to get out there and get this thing over with, I just hope they don't give me a shoddy tractor and let me go home after training so I can get everything together and that's all I'm asking for now.

What trk you get will be the luck of the draw. I will admit that this company has a pretty good maintenance program for the trks and tlr's. APU's, not so good. Still, no matter how good a program they have, problems will arise.
Just gave up my 600 for a 660. Want my 600 back. Had a fuse blow that controls the DPF that had me down for almost 2 days and have had xmission trouble since hitting the road last night. 6 times that dang thing went out and had to pull to the side of the road and do a reset. Luckily, I've made it home for HT and it is at the KW shop now and they'll hopefully get it fixed right.
Chris, don't expect to go home as soon as you get your trk. You'll learn that policy says that you put in for HT 8 days prior to the day you want. Just remember that.

Oh and here's a big clue for ya'll when it comes to the APU's and summertime. If you have cold air coming out the vent but is not cooling the trk down. Probable cause is a dirty return air filter. Get it replaced. Like I said, maint. on APU's not so hot.
