Well got my old Dell Dimension 3000 working again after someone hack into it and couldn't even log on,anyway I reformat it every works even using it to post this but I can't get no sound from any speakers!!!!I even got brand new ones and still no sound.Can anyone tell me how to fix this??Try calling dell they no help.

You probably have to get the sound card drivers installed.
If you go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager and see a yellow question mark then that's probably the problem.

I had to do the same exact thing on my old Dell, after doing the above they worked fine.

ok its easy run windows updates and choose custom in the hardware tab on the left side it will show u a list of drivers for hardware ur sound driver should be there just check and install updates

Those drivers should be on one of the CD's that came with the computer if you bought it new...it will be the disk that says "Dell Resource CD".
