I just looked at the Wisconsin DMV website, you will have to take an eye exam when you go for your license.
-
Yes you will have to. When I became a school bus driver, I had a MI license and had to have it switched over, took an eye test then. Then a week later after training when I went to get my Class B, I had to take another one. I'm pretty sure they do it whenever you apply for any license.
-
yes... and you have to pay around 85 more bucks at the DMV in WI too. Then transfer it in your home state. This is on top of the 185 you paid up front. Make sure you ask questions and get things in writing just so you have all the info you need.
-
I was very lucky. Missouri accepts third party examiners so all I had to do was take the test results to the DMV and get my license here.

Actually, when you exchange your auto license for your CDL in WI they prorate the price. It's $74 for a full 8 year license, but they originally give you one that expires on the same date as your old one. For example, if your current auto license expires in 2012, your new CDL will as well. So it would actually only cost you around $20 for the remainder of the two years. Then when you renew it, it will cost the full amount. This is what happened when I got my Class B CDL two years ago, I was quite surprised as I was expecting to have to pay alot, but I didn't. You still might want to make sure as this could've changed, but I'm pretty sure it's still this way.

that would be a lot better since mine expires next year.

Hindsy, how much time did they give you between the exercises for heart rate? What did your class feel was the one they were closest/most concerned about going over? Thanks.
-
The exercises go one after the other with very little down time. Take your time on the squats as that seems to increase the heart rate a little more than the other ones.
-
Are the exercises indoors or outdoors, and how cool is the room if indoors? I am practicing here in TN outside and it feels like 100 degrees. I know heat increases heart rate.
Rocky, did you say you blew the pre-screen before? How long did they say before you could retake it?
I am trying not to care/worry about this, any insights about how easy they are actually would be appreciated. I am 36 so my target can't meet or exceed 165.6.Last edited: Jun 22, 2010
