Sitting at the Ellenwood terminal after an early morning drive in from Mt. Airy, NC. Waiting to get my a/c fixed/recharged and hopefully get a couple of better steer tires. Driving without a/c down here in the south sucks:)

Have you found that truck stops have free Wi-Fi?

Rarely. and I don't think any of the national chains have it free. with Idleaire shut down, not sure what the status is with TA's, though.

TAs have their own separate wifi program. you can pay for it using their roadking points. the usual way: hour, day, month, year

pilots, loves, ta and flying j all have it for PAY, you can get an omni directional wifi antenna on ebay that they sell for boats and rv's for # $132. it boosts your signal 3-500% then you can log on to any houses or motels anywhere near the t/s for free since most homes dont put a WPA access code on their wireless

Hey rock, glad to hear all is well. Yeah I am now with my regular dispatcher. On my way home after they finally got me a load headed in that direction late in the afternoon. It doesn't have to be delivered until Thursday in Pennsylvania but I will probably try to get it there a couple of days early after getting everything caught up around the house. Probably could make it home tonight (2am ish) but pretty tired so decided to shut her down just south of the NC border and finish up tomorrow morning. Shop in Ellenwood fixed my a/c and put on a pair of new steer tires which makes me happy. All in all everything going pretty well. The last two dispatches both over 1000 miles. I think I will start staying out at least 3 weeks at a time (perhaps after this next outing as it would be nice to be home on July 4th). Also a driver in Ellenwood took me to a Jamaican restaurant near the terminal (go to Walmart, thru the parking lot to a set of smaller stores, can take Exit 1 or 2). Some #### good eating. I got the Curry goat, they also have oxtail, jerk chicken and several other good delights if you like Jamaican dishes.

    The Challenger Thanks this.
