I'll also let you know when I retire mine, 1,600,000+ miles and still looks and runs like a new one!

I agree...You must care for and maintain the WHOLE truck! Never Slam the doors...Close them gently. Oil things like hinges and latches, Tighten things when they start to get loose...Grease it, Grease it, Grease it...And then, Grease it!

I replace bushings, shocks, cab mounts and anything that starts wearing out as soon as I see it wearing out! I have never cracked a frame rail or crossmember and I've done a LOT of heavy haul!

Take care of it, Don't beat it and maintain the hell out of it and it'll last for decades!

But what do I know? I've only been doing this for a few weeks...:biggrin_2559:

I have friends with thirty and forty year old trucks that are still running strong...One guy I know has a 1956 KW and still pulls a lowbed with it for a construction company. It's been repowered a few times and it is meticulously maintained and it is a very nice old truck!

    You know nothin'....NOTHIN'!!
    Get some more experience rookie!:biggrin_2559:

    I have a question:

What's the curb, or unladen, (either's fine) weight of the US model Mack Titan?

    What's it's top speed?

I mean it's top speed pulling a full load, and also it's top speed bobtailing.

That all depends on how it is spec'd. Frame thickness? Double or triple frame rail? Axle weight ratings? Suspension? Lift axle? What transmission? Tire size? Rims? Wheel base? Wet kit? Fuel capacity? Bumper? 5th wheel? Headache rack? Fenders?

Entirely dependent upon the specs....transmission, rear end gearing, and tire size, and governed RPM of the engine...not to mention, whether or not the company that owns the truck has set the governor to limit it's top speed. You can set them up to run triple digits, just like you can set them up to be bouncing off the rev limiter at 45. It all depends on what you need the truck to do for you and where you intend to run it.
