Went up to check on the truck last night and the battery would not turn over the engine. So I made the call and an 1.5 hours later she was running. Had to let it run for a couple of hours to charge it up. Still have this terrible cold and feel terrible...but have to hit the road today hopefully!

Thank you for the advice; I thank all of you for all advice given.
God Bless and safe travels to all. -
Picked up a coil on Wednesday in Butler In and took it to Iowa. Then picked up some slinkies in Ill and on my way to Mass. Will have to head out tomorrow morning.
I had to sleep right next to the railroad tracks in Sterling Ill to load at Sterling Metals.
Those trains were so loud as they kept sounding their horns at the intersection.
I was between them and the river. I had this thought of the train de-railing and hitting me into the river. The river was up and moving very fast. I thought to myself how I would survive it...so I was ready! I guess the SEAL training never leaves you!
If I ever were to drown, they would find a very surprised look on my face...I am sure of that! -
Jim...I'm glad things are going well for you at Mav. Bravo to the company for getting you home in your time of need as well.
Prayers and condolences for you...continue to be safe. -
Agreed. I am glad that I stumbled upon it. -
Thanks for the honesty, Jim. -
NO Problem!
Just went up to check on my truck....the batteries are low again and will not start the truck. Tried jumping with the car...but no good. They must be weak and sitting all day in 90 deg heat takes its toll. I called it into fleet net and told them this was the second week in a row. They said they would send someone out to do a load test. I asked " Are they bringing new batteries...cause that is what I need...? He said he would recommend it...duh!!!!!!!!
It started every day this week after they were jumped...but they were not sitting all day in the heat.
I am at home waiting for the call...Just glad I went and checked them out.
To Be Continued!!!!!

Jim, sorry about your mother passing. Take care. -
Yeah jim; you nailed it down there. You can not explain or tell anyone anything that will give them the insight of what this job is. Most have a preconceived idea of what it is and then they find out that it was nothing like they envisioned. I made a thread about that on here somewhere. Not sure what I titled it. Living the dream or something like that. Almost everyone that asks me for help getting started almost always tells me, grandpa, uncle somebody was a driver and I rode with them when I was a kid so I have an idea what it is like.... My first thoughts are .... or so you think....

Thanks! We are all relieved to know that she is not suffering anymore and she is with the Lord!
