K&K Trucking Carthage TN R.I.P. 12/23/09

Rita,this is Kerry Phillips.I was the FL driver at K&K (shaved head and goatee,trk# 4017). Haven't seen anything recent about what you posted above.I never got my last 10 days pay. Tried calling Wm.Hornsby a few days ago because K&K NEVER ENTERED ANYTHING ON MY DAC ! My last job shown my DAC was R.E.West ending July,2007.Had no luck with Hornsby...got his voicemail,and it was his voice.Looking at Schneider now.Been out of work since D Day (Dec.22,2009). 2 wks of unemployment left. Just now applying at OTR companies. Gotten several calls from bottom feeder companies,one from Schneider. Goin with them if they'll take me. Movin back to TN,FL has been nothing but a train wreck in slow motion since comin here in 2004. Lost my house,bankruptcy,etc,etc. Hope things are sunny for you.

 

Hey Kerry, I am unsure if we have ever met but my husband is Kevin Simms. I am even unsure of what truck number he was. haha Yeah we have never seen payment for the last two weeks of work. We are struggling but he found a job about two weeks after he was let go. Leave Bill a message I am sure that he will get back to you. I just can't believe that they didn't put anything on your dac. Kevin is at Tango now and it pulled on his. So you are going to Schneider??? What part of TN are you coming back to??? Yeah we hit the bottom when K&K went under, but I am sure we wasn't the only ones. Drove by the old yard about 2 weeks ago and everything is gone. Looks like a ghost town right now. The only thing that I do know is that one of Kevin's friends did see a K&K day cab truck and trailer on the road and was getting fuel here in Nashville. I have ment to call the gas station and tell them our sob story so maybe I could get some answers on if they are running again under someone's name (Like the wife's or daughters) I will keep you in touch with that when I find out a little more. I have spoke to Ashley and people are suing Donny Kemp, she was unsure of what all was going on with him in court....I am sorry to say but I really don't believe much of that at all. She is the daughter of Donny, I am sure she is the first person to know about anything, but oh well. Keep your head high......I will let you know if I hear of any jobs this way how about that!

 

Yeah,Ive been wondering if Ashley might make a go of it. I would go to work for her,but not Donny. He just needs to go away and stay there. Ashley is a very smart and capable person. Im getting ready to move to Knoxville Aug.08,into my Dad's basement temporarily. Mmm,49 yrs old and movin into Dad's basement...oh,well,Im prob.not the only one these days. Went for interview for local job with Exel logistics in K'ville. If I dont get that,I have standing offers from Schneider and MCT. Scheduled to take physical July 30 in Orlando for Schneider.
