when i read your post about how you bolted your fridge and micowave and your comment after that made me chuckle. we had a truck accident a few years back and rolled the truck, and the fridge and microwave and coffee pot ( with the caraffe ) were the only things that did not move , because we bolted those things down.

Ahhh, thanks for the idea. I had also considered possibly removing one of the smaller cabinets in our next truck, but I think the Pete 387 may possibly have full size closets on both sides! Maybe we could remove some doors?
Ouch! :smt107 -
i am leaveing for BTC the 27th. was just wanting to know if any of you are BTC drivers and what can you fit in the truck such as fridges, microwaves, etc.

I pulled into a rest area on I84 in NY one night for my 10hr. There was a Schieder driver there, lawn chair out, what looked like a good book in his hand, and his BBQ grill. I thought to myself, this guy is smart. He can relax, have a good meal, and watch the sunset. I suppose it doesn't happen all the time, but it was nice to see someone enjoying the life of a trucker, and able to "leave" work behind for a couple few hours
Iron Flyer Thanks this. -
you will have to pull the whole cabinet out in the 387 to make it fit my trainer had on and that is what he did then he got a freightliner due to the breakdown and we had to remover lower and upper cabinet to get his fridge in it but was able to squeeze the top cabinet it and it held the fridge in place. the microwave went on the desk thing. he had a 1500 what inverter he also had a 13 inch tv with a playstation and all the games he liked as well as alot of dvd's.RamblinRebel&RebelsAngel Thanks this.

My boyfriend will do that, minus the book. Every now and then he will treat himself to a good meal and BBQ a steak and a baked potato. He can do it better than a restaurant for a fraction of the price. He gets some funny looks sometimes.

Maybe those are looks of envy

On my old Volvo I poked a hole in the shifter boot and ran my battery cable through there. Proper placement of the hole and it can't be seen when the cable is removed. It only took a minute or two to remove. The inverter itself was small enough to fit in my laptop bag so I had fear of anyone finding it while the truck was in the shop. As a former car stereo/alarm guy i wasn't a big fan of this setup but it seemed to work good.
I now have a T2000. It has two cigarette lighter plugs on the right side on the back of the shelves. I removed the shelves, added a third plug that lives behind the shelves. I plug my inverter into the hidden one, the inverter is E-taped to the metal shelf between the pullout desk and the drawer under it. I can just unplug it and toss it in my laptop bag an no one will ever be the wiser. -
I kept my grill in the side door
