Good luck man!! You did better than I did with them. 11 weeks, and I was gone!! Much better companies out there, and not just in pay.:biggrin_25525:

I think the keyword there is "a Little Change" ...

I don't understand how a member who's been here a reasonable time would still be driving for .27 per mile anyway ...

Glad to hear your finally leaving for better things.

I needed 7 months here minimum so i had that golden year of experience. Or thats what i had in my mind atleast.

it aint at weener, thats for sure

You probably are older than me. I'm talkin about the cute teenyboppers.

I was scared of change. I didnt want to end up at a JB hunt or schneider, etc. Almost all big companies have lots of complaints on this site, and if i go to a small company with no complaints..how do i know it aint just because nobodys ever heard of them?! :) However, QC is fairly big but i have never seen a complaint. I've been interested in being a tanker yanker for quite a while, and have even talked to a couple of their drivers, and they said it was "alright". Whatever that means.

Its a sliding scale and i'm in the dark about my pay until i get my paycheck. I have one paycheck showing a load that paid .47cpm.... But yeah, its never the greatest pay.

Thanks for clarifying the sliding scale issue. That in it's self sucks too. I am older than you but I still can differentiate ugly chicks from hot ones in south central va. Most are quite fugly where we live. A LOT of "fixed trait issues" from possibly interbreeding back when? Don't really know we are originally from new england. Wish you luck in your new endeavors and a better situation. Keep us posted!:biggrin_2555:

I dont know. I don't live in VA, and i only delivered to like 10 stores in VA....mostly right off US-58, and a few up north on 95 in va, delaware, nj, and pa...and from my experiences theres plenty of good looking girls on the 95 corridor.

but yeah, most of the girls in south central VA were ugly, you're right. I don't know whats up with that.

Phroziac, just caught up on all the posts here, I wasn't giving you a hard time earlier, I don't think you took it that way, I was just basically saying get out and move on to greener pastures, you've put up with a lot of BS over there but walk away with pride knowing you did your job to the best of your ability and leave Werner in the corner looking like a fool. It's sad for a company to expect people to get out there and work week in and week out for such measly pay, how do you or anyone else put up with it? There are better things out there you've just got to do your research, do a favor to yourself and avoid ending up with another cookie cutter company, I've bounced around between a lot of carriers in the past, but have almost 3 years where I'm at now, I put up with some crap but nothing near the garbage Werner put you or others on this site through. Good luck dude, I chime in here sometimes and maybe get misunderstood, you made it there a lot longer than most people do and that's a testament to the mental fortitude you have, if you can put up with their bs for as long as you did, you should be able to be profitable with a carrier that gives a #### about their drivers.

Trashtrucker, hell, thanks for the comments on my mental fortitude. Anyway, I did take it the wrong way, but i see what you meant now. Leaving them on the corner looking like a fool is exactly what i'm going to do. :D

I put up with it cause i had to. There was a time when they were the only company that would hire me, seriously. I live in michigan and that was back when the economy was still really horrible, no one big was hiring in michigan, or said i had too little experience, and the little guys said i didnt have experience, and the LTL places just had too many darn applications.

But now is not that time. I can pretty much go anywhere right now except heartland. They said i need a year in the last year, lol.

phroziac, why don't you quit messing around with the mega carriers and look into some of the local michigan based outfits? I havent read this entire thread but I saw a post where you said you had pre-hires at TMC, Rhoel, Transport America, SNI, Western Express... I live in TN and still consider western a bottom feeder that I would never consider. I cant think of the names off hand but I know I see the trucks of smaller 100-200 or so carriers that are based out of michigan all the time when I run midwest. You've got 2 years experience, a $700 net paycheck should be a bad week, a really bad week as a company driver - when I was in a company truck I cant remember one that bad - why do you limit yourself to training companies and bottom feeders when there are so many other options? *edited* I will note that quality carries might be a step up from from these other slugs..
